Yeah, that's right: I bought the game, though not for anywhere close to the original asking price of roughly $1,200, as I managed to talk the seller down to $650, with the total coming to roughly $725 after shipping and taxes. Man, now I'm all set for Forza Horizon 5 once midnight hits tomorrow night and going into Friday. I don't think I need to play any further to know that. It's definitely just the North American PlayStation version.

Upon starting the process of converting my now BIN file, I saw that it was identified as SLUS00067, which happens to be the same code as the North American version of SotN. I renamed misc.odd to MISC-ODD.BIN, just so I could keep track of it better against the other versions of SotN I have on my PC. I dug around, paying attention to the notes on the right side and seeing reference to Sony Computer Entertainment and realized I was definitely dealing with a PlayStation disc image and came to the aforementioned conclusion that ePSXe hates me. I wanted it to open "correctly" and not as gibberish, so I decided to buy the full version of File Magic. Oddly, when I tried to bypass that, the file seemed to open in what looked like a HEX editor within File Magic. It said it had to open it in "native mode" and that I had to purchase the full version of the software. So, as if the fact that the BIOS included on the disc were for the English PlayStation wasn't already confirmation that this is the English version of the game, here's additional info:īasically, I ended up installing a demo of File Magic to see if it'd open the. Ironically, I decided to take what I consider to be an easier route, as I have HEN installed on my PlayStation 3 and have a 7-Zip archive set up to streamline the process of signing games for use on my PlayStation 3. I think ePSXe just hates me, as I couldn't get ANYTHING to run in it, and I didn't feel like messing around with plug-ins that weren't installed by default.
